Boffola gets a new head of development

Eva O’Flynn joins from Channel 4

Former Channel 4 comedy executive Eva O’Flynn has joined Am I Being Unreasonable? producers Boffola Pictures.

She has taken up the newly created job of head of development, having previously been working in a similar role on the broadcaster’s Blaps and other comedy shorts.

O’Flynn – who has been at Channel 4 for two years – said: ‘I’m thrilled to be joining the formidable team at Boffola. I’ve long admired their comic instincts, creative wisdom and exceptional quality of work.

‘The chance to head up development, continuing their meticulous approach and ardent support of talent, is truly exciting. It’s a joy to have been so warmly welcomed and I look forward to everything to come.’

A spokesperson for Boffola, established by former BBC comedy executives Shane Allen and Kate Daughton, said: ‘Eva has proved herself a very shrewd comedy brain whose taste, notes and ideas are impeccable.

‘Her sparky charms will be a boost in making sure we continue to be a happy home for writers and performers to feel the love and support they deserve.’

The company is about to make a second series of the BBC sitcom The Power Of Parker, and a Josh Glanc film for C4’s digital Playground strand.
