New show launches on Friday

Sam Campbell and Lucy Beaumont’s podcast is finally coming to fruition this week.

In December, Chortle reported how the pair were joining forces for Lucy and Sam’s Perfect Brains, which is described simply as ‘ two comedians focusing their unique minds on different topics, with plenty of room for anecdotes and theorems’.

Now it has been announced that the show will be available on all major podcast platforms from Friday 

Beaumont said: ‘Very excited to launch our podcast. The wait is over, members of the public can now listen to the fruits of our labour, a world inside our brains. Our perfect brains. Brains only a mother could love. Not my mother though, she hated Taskmaster.’

Campbell added: ‘I’ve been chatting to a lot of Formula 1 drivers lately; they have all confided in me that they plan to listen to this podcast as they zip around the track in the next Grand Prix. They believe it will make them go faster and make them truly fearless. 

‘Apparently, a number of players in the Premier League are campaigning to be allowed to wear headphones on the pitch so they can have it going during matches. Lucy and I have even discussed making it mandatory at schools, hospitals and all of the airports. Hopefully people enjoy it.’ 

 Lucy and Sam’s Perfect Brains is produced by Plosive – the team behind award-winning podcasts including Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster and Cuddle Club with Lou Sanders.
