US teen comedy-drama coming to iPlayer

The BBC has acquired all three seasons of American teen comedy-drama Love, Victor from Disney Entertainment.

Michael Cimino stars as Victor, a teen from a half Puerto Rican, half Colombian-American family living in Atlanta struggling with his sexual orientation.

Inspired by the 2018 film Love, Simon, the show ran on Hulu for 28 episodes over three seasons from 2020 to 2022.

Sue Deeks, head of BBC programme acquisition said: ‘Love, Victor is a heartfelt, funny and nuanced coming-of-age story, beautifully portrayed by a winning and relatable cast.’

It also stars Rachel Hilson, Anthony Turpel, Bebe Wood, Mason Gooding  and  Ana Ortiz.

Love, Victor  will be coming soon to BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
