New hire to work on podcasts, TV and digital

TicketText Group, the company behind London comedy venues 2Northdown and 21Soho, is expanding  its TV, digital and podcast production business.

The company recently hired producer Lauren Jay, whose credits include The Stand Up Sketch Show and Mock the Week to develop scripted and non-scripted projects through its Laughing Around offshoot.

The company owns a podcast studio in 21Soho and is developing several  formats with broadcast commissioners. It is also seeking scripts and original ideas to also take into development, and is meeting with agents, comedians and broadcasters.

TicketText Group founder Nick Mills said: ‘I am incredibly proud of the speed at which Laughing Around has grown over the past 12 months.

‘With Lauren joining the team, the business will continue to grow from strength to strength as we accelerate momentum with her wealth of experience, already allowing us to open up new creative and commercial opportunities.’
