Laurie Farrugia, Ben Hough and Natasha Heliotis join team

BBC Studios Productions has appointed three new comedy development producers, Laurie Farrugia, Ben Hough and Natasha Heliotis

Farrugia will focus on comedy drama series. Before joining BBC Studios, she spent five years at Benedict Cumberbatch’s SunnyMarch.

Hough was previously script editor on This is Going to Hurt which is currently airing on BBC One

And Heliotis’s previous credits include The Power and Trying.

BBC Studios’s head of comedy, Josh Cole, said: ‘Laurie, Ben and Tash are super smart with impeccable taste. They will be working on a range of upcoming productions for multiple broadcasters and developing a new generation of era-defining comedies and comedy dramas.’
