Comedy trio to host the Oscars
The 94th Oscars will be hosted by Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes and comedy actress Regina Hall it was announced today.
It is the first time hosting for all of them - and the first time the Academy Awards has had anyone has hosted at all.
Ceremony producer Will Packer said: ‘This year’s show is all about uniting movie lovers. It’s apropos that we’ve lined up three of the most dynamic, hilarious women with very different comedic styles.
‘I know the fun Regina, Amy and Wanda will be having will translate to our audience as well. Many surprises in store! Expect the unexpected!’

‘Regina, Amy and Wanda are comedy powerhouses who will make history as the first female trio to host the biggest night in entertainment, and we’re thrilled to have them at the helm to deliver an incredible show full of unforgettable moments and laughter.’
It will be the first time three hosts have been used since Paul Hogan, Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn shared the stage in 1987 – and the first time three women have shared the honours.
The ceremony takes place in Hollywood on Sunday March 27 at 5pm local time – 1am in the early hours on Monday UK time.
