Somerset comedy festival announces comeback lineup

The Wells Comedy Festival has announced its return, with the first batch of shows now on sale.

More than 40 comedy shows will be staged at various venues throughout England’s smallest city over the weekend of May 27-29,

The first batch of shows announced includes Harry Hill, Phil Wang, Al Murray, Shaparak Khorsandi, Isy Suttie and Mark Watson.

Festival founder Ben Williams said: ‘We’re thrilled to be hosting our Somerset shindig again, three years after the last festival - for obvious reasons.

‘We’re absolutely chuffed with the line-up so far, and there are plenty more shows to be announced. Watch this space.’

Other shows now on sale include performances from Mike Wozniak, Lou Sanders, Stuart Goldsmith, Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Esther Manito and Jessica Fostekew.
