Rob Delaney joins Amazon Prime thriller The Power

As a 'silver fox news anchor'

Rob Delaney has been cast in the new Amazon thriller The Power.

The comedian and Catastrophe star will play a ‘silver fox news anchor’ in the show – based on the bestselling novel by Naomi Alderman – with Alice Eve playing his ambitious co-host.

The show, which is already in production, stars Tim Robbins as Daniel Dandon, the self-righteous and self-important Republican Governor of Washington State and constant thorn in the side of Margot Cleary-Lopez, the Democratic Mayor of Seattle (Leslie Mann).

Action over the ten-part series, directed by  The Handmaid’s Tale’s Reed Morano, also takes place in London, Nigeria and Moldova as it tells of how the world is turned upside-down when all teenage girls suddenly develop the power to electrocute people at will.
