Comics dominate favourite shows

James Acaster, Ed Gamble, Sara Pascoe and Adam Buxton have topped a poll of favourite podcasts from the website Pod Bible.

Acaster is a double winner, with his Perfect Sounds Show topping the music category and Off Menu, which he hosts with Gamble, topping the comedy section.

Sara Pascoe had the most popular social conscience podcast with Sex, Power, Money, while Deborah Frances White’s  Guilty Feminist topped the lifestyle and culture category for the second year running.

Socially Distanced Sports Bar in which Welsh comics Elis James and Mike Bubbins discuss historic clips with BBC sports presenter Steff Garrero  topped the sports and leisure category while  Brett Goldstein’s Films To Be Buried With took the film and TV title.

Monkey Tennis, which scrutinises the Alan Partridge world, was named most popular independent podcast.
