Along with Good Omens, Succession and more

Fleabag, Good Omens and Succession have all been nominated in the esteemed Peabody Awards.

They are among 60 shows across six categories shortlisted as they ‘represent the most compelling and empowering stories released in broadcasting and digital media during 2019’.

The comedies are all in the entertainment section of the US awards, alongside programmes such as Chernobyl, Stranger Things and Watchmen.

Jeffrey P. Jones, executive director of Peabody, said: ‘These stories and their creators celebrate the diversity of human experience and of our democracy. Amid the challenges of our present moment, we can find empathy, entertainment and truth in these nominees.’

The 60 nominees will now be whittled down into 30 winners.
