Brighton Fringe goes online

Comics to broadcast shows via NextUp

Comedy on-demand service NexUp has announced a partnership with Brighton Fringe to keep the festival going digitally during lockdown.

Comedians will be able to live-stream their shows on the service’s NextUp Now platform which is available on Facebook, YouTube and Twitch.

Rosie Blackwell Sutton, marketing manager for Brighton Fringe says; "The impact of the pandemic has been devastating and we are so pleased to be partnering with NextUp to give our audience the opportunity to watch some of what would have been wonderful live content from the festival in the comfort of their own homes.’

The Brighton Fringe, comprising 1,035 events in 170 venues, was due to take place in May - but plans are now under way to move it to September or October.
