Rosie Holt to play Her Maj in new fringe play

Comedian Rosie Holt is to play a young version the Queen in a new fringe comedy play about The Queen’s early life.

The Crown Dual has been inspired by the Netflix series The Crown and co-stars Brendan Murphy as Prince Philip.

Murphy regularly appears in the stage show Potted Potter, whose co-creator  Daniel Clarkson also wrote this

The play story of how Elizabeth Windsor became Queen Elizabeth II in 70 minutes of ‘frenetic hat-passing, period accents and corgi impressions’.

Producers say it is aimed at ‘both fans of the [Netflix] show keenly waiting for the third series – and for those wondering what all the fuss is about’.

The Crown Dual will run at the King’s Head Theatre in Islington, North London, from March 12 to April 6.
