Robin Williams’s possessions go under the hammer
Items from Robin Williams’s private collection of items are to go under the hammer this autumn.
The auction at Christie’s in New York will include film and entertainment memorabilia, including autographed scripts, awards, props and clothing.
All the lots were owned by Williams and his wife of 20 years, Marsha, who produced several of his films. They divorced in 2010, with Williams going on to marry graphics designer Susan Schneider the following year. He took his own life in August 2014, aged 63.
The collection also includes contemporary art, including street art by Banksy, more than 40 watches, and even the Hogwarts School robe with a Gryffindor house crest worn by Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter And The Sorcerers’ Stone, which has an estimated value of $10,000-$15,000.
The dedicated auction will take place on October 4 with a portion of the proceeds to benefit charities championed by the couple.
