For writing the Mean Girls book

Tina Fey has been nominated for a Tony Award for writing the book of the Mean Girls musical on Broadway.

And the show itself is up for best musical, alongside The Band's Visit, Frozen and SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical.

The writers of the very same four shows are up for best book.

In total  Mean Girls received 12 nominations, joint top with  SpongeBob.

Meanwhile, Amy Schumer is up for best leading actress in a play for her part in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower.

She’s up against  Glenda Jackson for Edward Albee's Three Tall Women; Condola Rashad for  Saint Joan; and Lauren Ridloff for Children of a Lesser God.

The awards will be presented by Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban on June 10.
