Peter Kay triumphs at TV Choice awards

Peter Kay's Car Share has scooped another award.

The finale of his BBC One sitcom picked up the TV Choice award for best comedy tonight.

The accolades  are voted for by the public rather than a panel of industry figures.

Strictly Come Dancing was named best talent show; Ant & Dec collected the best entertainment gong for Saturday Night Takeaway and  Paul O'Grady won best factual series for his ITV show For The Love Of Dogs.

Mary Berry was honoured for outstanding contribution to television.

Emmerdale was the big winner, scooped all four soap prizes.
