Otto and Astrid get their instruments back

Comedy band Die Roten Punkte have been reunited with the musical instruments that were were lost by British Airways.

The airline finally tracked down the cargo after it was lost en route from Winnipeg to Edinburgh on July 30 –  but only after the faux German duo began their Edinburgh Fringe run.

Otto and Astrid Rot – in reality Australians Clare Bartholomew and Daniel Tobias – performed their first night at the Underbelly Cowgate using borrowed equipment, rather than their usual  custom-made instruments

But the kit has now been found and the duo safely collected it from Edinburgh airport.

British Airways apologised for the inconvenience.
