Jimmy Kimmel to host Oscars again

Comic returns for 90th Academy Awards

Jimmy Kimmel is to return to host the Oscars ceremony for a second year.

Cheryl Boone Isaacs,  president of the academy that hands out the awards, said: ‘Jimmy proved, from his opening monologue all the way through a finale we could never have imagined, that he is one our finest hosts in Oscar history.’

This year’s ceremony made headlines for the wrong reasons when Moonlight was wrongly named best picture instead of La La Land.

Referencing the error as today’s news was announced, chat show host and comedian Kimmel joked: ‘If you think we screwed up the ending this year, wait until you see what we have planned for the 90th anniversary show!;

The 90th Academy Awards will take place on on Sunday, March 4, 2018.
