Chris McCausland up for a Bafta

Strictly dance nominated for most memorable moment

Chris McCausland’s appearance on Strictly Comes Dancing has been nominated for the Memorable Moment Award at this year’s Baftas

The comedian’s waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone with Dianne Buswell is one of six nominees for the accolade –  the only award decided on by the public.

The shortlist also includes the wedding scene from the Gavin & Stacey finale  in which Smithy, amid a chorus of doubts from the guests gets Mick’s opinion before deciding whether to marry Sonia.

The other nominated memorable moments are:

  • Bridgerton: The carriage scene where Colin admits his true feelings for Penelope
  • Mr Bates vs The Post Office: Sub-postmistress Jo Hamilton follows advice to the letter on call to the Horizon helpline, but finds the amount she owes doubles
  • Rivals:  Rupert Campbell Black and Sarah Stratton are caught playing naked tennis
  • Traitors: When Diane reveals to cameras:Paul isn’t my son… but Ross is!"

Vote for your P&O Cruises Memorable Moment at http://www.bafta.org/moment before May 11.
