With Armando Iannucci her first guest

Rebecca Front is launching a podcast in which she chats to co-stars and famous friends about the people who influenced her most.

Three People launches on Tuesday with an interview with Armando Iannucci, which guests across the rest of the series including Richard Herring, Al Murray, Peter Capaldi, Nicky Campbell, Clive Rowe and Nicola Stephenson

Front said: ‘Each episode I’ll be asking my guest to tell me about three people who changed their lives, for good or ill, and the stories behind their choices. 

'I’m a massive podcast fan. I love how personal and intimate they can be, and I‘m sure that Three People will show my guests in a fresh light and become a firm favourite  for my fellow devotees.’

In her student days in the 1980s, Front  became the first female president of The Oxford Revue. From early work with Lee and Herring, her comedy credits include  The Day Today, Knowing Me, Knowing You… with Alan Partridge, The Thick of It, Time Gentlemen Please, Big Train and Nighty Night as well as dramatic roles in the likes of Lewis and Death Comes to Pemberley.

Her new podcast is being made by Unlocked.

Meanwhile, Annie McGrath’s podcast Secret Artists returns for a sixth series next Thursday after a break of more than a year.

In each show, she is joined by a comedian or comedy actor to make a piece of art as they chat.  Line up for the new run are   Imogen Poots, James McNicholas, Paul Foot and  Abigoliah Schamaun.

More than 100 episodes have been made so far, with more than  200,000 download between them.

McGrath said: ‘After a year-long hiatus, I’m thrilled about relaunching Secret Artists. Knowing the podcast is a doorway into the art world for many people is extremely rewarding, and the line-up for Series Six is *chef’s kiss*’
