Monday February 17
THE ISLAND: Stephen Mangan stars in this new Radio 4 comedy set on the fictional location where celebrities are cast away on Desert Island Discs, and comes after his own appearance on the show last week. The premise is that Mangan washes up on the island to discover all the past celebrities are there too and ‘it’s all gone a bit Lord Of The Flies' ‘The six-part series has been written by Dead Ringers creator Bill Dare, The Skewer’s Jon Holmes and writers Tom Oxenham and Simon Alcock. BBC Radio 4, 2.45pm.
THE WHITE LOTUS: The much talked-abut black comedy returns for a third series, albeit without Jennifer Coolidge, more's the pity! After Hawaii and Sicilly, this season is set in an exclusive resort in Thailand, and features Charlotte LeBon (no relation to Simon) and Patrick Schwazenegger (son on Arnold) and Jason Issacs. It's on Sky Atlantic.
STUART LAWS? IS THAT GUY STILL GOING? The comedian's 2023 show, mixing the uncharacteristically personal with outright lies, lands on the 800 Pound Gorilla YouTube channel, where it can be viewed fo free. The special was directed by Nish Kumar.
RICHARD OSMAN’S HOUSE OF GAMES: Soon to be reunited with David Mitchell for a new Channel 4 sketch show, Robert Webb is one of the contestants this week. Let's hope one of the rounds is Numberwang. Also taking part are Emmerdale actor Chris Bisson, EastEnders star Danielle Harold and former sprinter Katharine Merry. BBC Two, 6pm

THE CHIEF: Jack Docherty is back as Scot Squad's Chief Commissioner Cameron Miekelson, Wrestling with contemporary dilemmas and workplace politics, while trying his best to remain relevant in an ever-changing world. Thankfully, he’s got his trusty team by his side. In this first episode, he embraces the ‘Second Chance’ initiative offering ex-offenders a job in the police force. What could go wrong? The show also marks a return to the screen for Rhona Cameron, playing the Scottish government's Justice Minister Una Struan. One of the most prominent stand-ups of the 1990s, she has kept a low profile over the last two decades, with only a handful of minor screen appearances in the likes of Bloods and Silent Witness. Docherty, who also wrote this series, said: 'I’ve known Rhona forever although we’d never worked together before. I was very surprised to discover that she does a mean Oliver Hardy impression. It sneaks into her performance once in a while.' BBC Scotland and iPlayer, 10pm
