Chelsea Handler announces three UK dates

A Broad Abroad also plays Dublin

Chelsea Handler has announced three UK dates this May,

She will be performing her new stand-up  show A Broad Abroad at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, on May 23;  the London Palladium the following night and Glasgow’s Pavilion Theatre on the 24th.

Handler also plays Vicar Street in Dublin on May 13.

‘I have never been more enthusiastic about finding love abroad,’ said Chelsea.

The comic was previously America’s only female late-night talk show host as she fronted E!’s Chelsea Lately for seven years.

A Broad Abroad was a segment on that show, although she was criticised by journalist Paula Froelich over the name as she has an online travel magazine and web series of the same name, which she had trademarked.

Handler went on to launch her documentary series Chelsea Does followed by her talk show Chelsea on Netflix in 2016.

At the weekend saw hosted the Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles for the third time.

She told the audience: ‘I want to acknowledge that we’ve been through a lot lately, not just here in Los Angeles, but our entire country, waking up every day not knowing what news we are going to hear that will disappoint or horrify us.

‘So, it is important in times like these to have a distraction, and that’s why I want to personally extend my gratitude to Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively. Thank you for providing us with that distraction. I’m grateful. I think we’re all grateful’

Tickets for the A Broad Abroad  shows go on general sale Friday at 10am.
