Dr Who star to join Paul Merton and Suki Webster at the Comedy Store

David Tennant is to perform improv comedy.

The former Dr Who and Good Omens star is to be one of the guests joining Paul Merton and Suki Webster’s Improv Show during its next weekly residency at London’s Comedy Store.

David Mitchell, Stephen Mangan and Julian Clary are also among the guests.

Tennant has appeared with Merton eight times as a guest host on Have I Got News For You and he’s no stranger to improvising on scene, including during the lockdown comedy Staged opposite Michael Sheen.

His Comedy Store appearance on March 26 has sold out within hours of it being announced.

The next season of Merton and Webster’s show starts on March 12, with Julian Clary and, Sally Hodgkiss, followed by:

March 19:  Marcus Brigstocke and Rachel Parris
March 26: David Tennant and Charlotte Gittins 
April 2:  Miles Jupp and David Reed
April 9: David Mitchell, Alexander Jeremy, Briony Redman
April 16: Julian Clary and  Rachel Parris
April 30: Stephen Mangan and  Sally Hodgkiss
