Welcome to Amandaland
Our pick of the comedy on TV, radio and streaming this week…:
Monday February 3
DANIEL KITSON: The comic returns to artsy radio station Resonance FM to host the breakfast show this month. On it, he'll be going through 500 of his old CDs that he wants to listen to before deciding whether to keep or donate to the charity shop. Resonance FM, 7am to 9am.
JUST A MINUTE: Ivo Graham and Sara Pascoe are among the players. Radio 4, 6.30pm
Wednesday February 5
AMANDALAND: A double-bill of comedies kicks off with this Motherland spin-off, with Lucy Punch's image-conscious character Amanda being forced to downsize and move from swanky Chiswick to the less cosmopolitan South Harlesden – SoHa as the estate agent insists on calling it – with naive Anne (Phillipa Dunne) still in tow, as something of a dogsbody. But if you think Amanda's snobby, wait till you meet her ever-judgmental, keenly passive-aggressive mother, Felicity. Read an interview with writer Holly Walsh here.BBC One, 9pm
AM I BEING UNREASONABLE? Then it's the return of the knotty comedy drama, which ended its last season with the revelation that Nic (Daisy May Cooper, who created this series with co-star Selin Hizli) was a killer and the suggestion that similar seeds may have been planted in her son Ollie (Lennie Rush). It all came to a head in a high-drama memorial service at the end of series one… so what happens next? BBC One, 9.30pm
Thursday February 6
G'WED: The boisterous comedy about a bunch of working-class teenage schoolkids from Liverpool returns for a second series, having been ITV2's second most-watched programme last year after Love Island. Dylan Thomas-Smith, Gemma Barraclough, Amber Harrison and Jake Kenny-Byrne are among the returning cast. Drag star The Vivienne has a cameo appearance in episode 1 as a Liverpool nightclub owner – one of the last things they filmed before their death in January at the age of 32. ITVX and ITV2 at 10.05pm
Friday February 7
THE LAST LEG: Joining the boys this time are Sir Stephen Fry and Sophie Willan, with a live music performance from Franz Ferdinand. Channel 4, 10pm
