UK tour for Jamaican comic Dale Elliott Jr

Jamaican-born comedian Dale Elliott Jr – known for his internet sketches – has announced a European with his  new show Son Of An Immigrant. 

The stand-up will play Dublin on June 22 followed by seven dates in the UK, including Soho Theatre’s new Walthamstow outpost.

It follows a 2024 four of 40 international dates, including London’s Leicester Square Theatre, which he self-produced.

He said today: ‘The Jamaican diaspora in the UK has such a huge impact on the average person living there. I love that I can be natural here and chat like a true Yard man! No need to posh up my accent in the UK – love it! 

‘And this time it'll be in the summer. That's something I haven't witnessed in the UK yet - the sun! Best part about this tour journey is sharing my special brand of Jamaican comedy with all these European countries - from France to Belgium to Germany to Netherlands. They already know we run tings with the music, now they’re going see how we mash up the stage with pure jokes and vibes.’

Elliott’s online reels generate more than  20 million monthly views and he also has a podcast series and YouTube channel with 113,000 subscribers. It feature his two self-produced comedy specials Problem Child: Bad Pickney and Live From London, which have more than 1 million views combined.

His European dates are:

Kumail Nanjiani

Meanwhile, Kumail Nanjiani has announced a London date.

The American comedian behind the acclaimed romcom The Big Sick will be playing  Leicester Square Theatre on Friday April 18.

His other credits include the animated series Adventure Time, sketch series Portlandia, playing Kingo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Eternals and scientist Vik in The Boys. 

Tickets for his London date go on general sale at 10am on Friday.
