Speaky Blinder tour to stream from tomorrow

Netflix has snapped up the rights to Chris McCausland's 2023 stand-up special Speaky Blinder.

The streamer will carry the show from tomorrow, on the back of the comedian’s success on Strictly Come Dancing las month.

It was recorded by Live At The Apollo programme-makers Open Mike Productions at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in May 2023, on the last day of his mammoth 147-date tour – and was originally shown on Channel 4 in August that year.

On Netflix, the special will be titled simply Chris McCausland: Live, with the description reading: ‘Chris McCausland hits the stage with tales of parenting while blind and resisting modern life in a stand-up special full of old-school charm and wit.’

The comic this week resumes his Yonks! tour, running until  April 2026,  and last week announced that his  autobiography is due out in October – although he’s only just started writing it.
