Rhys Darby announces 2025 tour
Kiwi comic Rhys Darby is returning to the stage with a new stand-up show, The Legend Returns.
A total of 19 UK and one Irish date have been announced for the tour, which is is first in nearly a decade.
He said today: ‘I’m so excited to return to the stage, a bit older, a bit wiser but mostly a bit sillier than ever before!’
Away from stand-up, Darby is known for his roles in Flight Of The Conchords, the Jumanji franchise and Our Flag Means Death alongside long-time collaborator Taika Waititi. He is also the face of Xero accounting software and will guest star in the forthcoming season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds as a ‘familiar’ character who is 'completely new'.
The Legend Returns will run from May 30 to June 20 next year and promises a ‘mix of astute observations and physical stand-up cocooned in a fantastical storyline’.
Paul Taylor – the British comedian who has forged a stand-up career in French – has announced his first tour in his native language.
The comic unveiled F*** Me I’m French at the Edinburgh Fringe last year, and will play 13 UK and two Irish dates early next year.
