Four Scottish Bafta nods for Ashley Storrie’s Dinosaur

Richard Gadd, Susan Calman and Two Doors Down stars also up for accoldates

Ashley Storrie’s Dinosaur leads the nominations in the Scottish Baftas announced today, with four nods.

The comedian is nominated for starring in the BBC sitcom, where she faces competition Doon Mackichan and Elaine C. Smith for  Two Doors Down and Nicola Walker for Annika.

Storrie, the daughter of fellow comic Janey Godley, is also shortlisted in  the writing category, sharing her nomination with co-writer Matilda Curtis.

Also nominated are Nicole Taylor, who adapted David Nicholl’s novel One Day for Netflix, and Richard Gadd, for Baby Reindeer.

Gadd is also nominated for best actor for his lead role in the semi-autobiographical show, where he is shortlisted alongside Khalid Abdalla for the Crown, Daniel Portman for the Loch Henry episode of Black Mirror and David Tennant for There She Goes.

Dinosaur is also up for best scripted TV show, alongside Float and Shetland, while director Niamh McKeown is shortlisted in her category 

Susan Calman's Grand Day Out is shortlisted in the entertainment category alongside The Agency, BBC Scotland’s Burns Night celebrations and  Richard Osman's House of Games.

Winners will be announced at the Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central on Sunday November 17.
