Josh Thomas writes his first book

Based on his stand-up show Let’s Tidy Up

Australian comedian Josh Thomas has written his first book, based on the stand-up show he just performed at the Edinburgh Fringe

Let’s Tidy Up: The Book is to be released as an ebook and audiobook exclusively on £10.99-a-month subscription service Everand from September 18.

The book chronicles Josh’s Herculean effort to organise his home and his life as he reflects on his ADHD and autism diagnoses, friendship, loss, life in Hollywood, and his tumultuous relationship with the boy he’s been ‘most in love with’.

Publishers describe the book as ‘a celebration of self-acceptance, especially the messy parts’ and say it includes stories about the comic’s quest for tidiness not included in the live show.

As well as his work as a stand-up, Thomas created and starred in the American TV comedy series Please Like Me and Everything’s Gonna Be Okay.

The ebook will be about 92 pages long, with the audio version lasting about two hours.

Thanks for reading. If you find Chortle’s coverage of the comedy scene useful or interesting, please consider supporting us with a monthly or one-off ko-fi donation.
Any money you contribute will directly fund more reviews, interviews and features – the sort of in-depth coverage that is increasingly difficult to fund from ever-squeezed advertising income, but which we think the UK’s vibrant comedy scene deserves.
