Tuesday August 13

MATT RIFE: LUCID The latest special from the comic who rose up through social media drops today… and it's the first Netflix show to comprise only crowd work. In a trailer for the show, Rife says: 'I don't know what you or I will say. I want you to be aware you are equally as at fault for how this goes as I am'. His last – scripted – special landed him in trouble for joking about domestic violence.

Wednesday August 14

TOM AND LAUREN ARE GOING OOT! Written by and starring Lauren Pattison and Tom Machell, this comedy revolves around a millennial couple from Newcastle facing one of life’s greatest challenges - leaving the house on time. Julian Clary and fellow comic Louise Young guest star. Radio 4, 11.15pm

BAD MONKEY: Vince Vaughn plays an ex-cop turned health inspector who investigates Florida's underworld in this ten-part adaptation of Carl Hiaasen's comedy thriller. It's on Apple TV+ and Rob Delaney and Jodie Turner-Smith co-star.

Thursday August 15

DADDY ISSUES: Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey star in this new BBC sitcom about a father and daughter who wind up living together as adults. Wood plays 24-year-old Gemma who finds herself in a bind after becoming pregnant after a random hook-up, while Morrissey is divorced dad Malcolm, incapable of doing anything for himself. EMILY IN PARIS: Lily Collins returns in the much-mocked, but very popular, Netflix comedy. Series four is split into two parts, with episodes out today and September 12.

JACKPOT!: Paul Feig's latest comedy is set in the near future when a 'grand lottery' has been established in California - the catch is that anyone who kills the winner before sundown can legally claim their multi-billion dollar jackpot. Awkwafina plays Katie Kim, who scoops the big prize and joins forces with amateur lottery protection agent Noel Cassidy (John Cena) to keep hold of the prize. It drops on Amazon's Prime Video today.

Friday August 16

8 OUT OF 10 CATS DOES COUNTDOWN: Richard Ayoade and Kemah Bob take on Jonathan Ross and Maisie Adam, with Sarah Keyworth joining Susie Dent in Dictionary Corner. Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon fills in for Rachel Riley looking after the letters and numbers. Channel 4, 9pm
