Comics nominated in 2024 Bafta awards
Bridget Christie, Joe Lycett and Mawaan Rizwan are among the nominees for this year’s Bafta awards.
Christie is up for best female comedy performance for her Channel 4 comedy The Change while Rizwan has been shortlisted in the corresponding male category for his BBC Three show Juice, as well as garnering a writing nod for the same show.
Meanwhile, Lycett is up for entertainment performance for Late Night Lycett, which is also up for best comedy entertainment programme.

Away from the comedy and entertainment categories, Steve Coogan is up for best leading actor for portraying Jimmy Savile in The Reckoning; and Sharon Horgan is up for the same award for female performers for her role in Best Interests.
Mobility starring Jack Carroll and the one-off TV version of Radio 4’s The Skewer are up for the best short form programme.

The Bafta Television Craft Awards (featuring the writing award) will take place on Sunday 28 April, while the main Television Awards – hosted by Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan – is on Sunday May 12, when it will air on BBC One.
