Leo Reich lands first major acting gig
Leo Reich has landed his first major acting role, joining an all-star cast in Lena Dunham’s next TV project.
As previously announced, Too Much stars Megan Stalter as Jessica, a New York workaholic in her mid-thirties who moves to London after a relationship breakdown vowing to remain single. But in the UK she Felix – played by Flowers and White Lotus star Will Sharpe – with whom she forges an unusual connection, despite him being ‘a walking series of red flags’.
The ten-episode series will air on Netflix, which today revealed the supporting cast that also includes Stephen Fry, Richard E. Grant, Emily Ratajkowsksi and Cheers star Rhea Perlman.
Reich made a splash with his debut stand-up show Literally Who Cares?! – a parody of Gen Z’s self-absorbed entitlement that was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2022 – and subsequently released as an HBO special.
The exact roles of the newly announced Too Much cast have not yet been revealed, including Reich’s.
Also joining the production are Adele Exarchopoulos (Passages), Adwoa Aboah (Top Boy), Andrew Rannells (GIRLS5EVA), Daisy Bevan (The Alienist), Dean-Charles Chapman (1917), Janicza Bravo (Sharp Stick), Kaori Momoi (The Brightest Roof in the Universe), Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Prasanna Puwanarajah (The Crown) and Rita Wilson (Sleepless in Seattle).
Girls creator Dunham came up with the idea with her musician husband Luis Felber and both writes and directs the series. Felber’s band, Attawalpa, provides the music.
It is being produced by Working Title Television, the company behind Love Actually, and Dunham’s production company Good Thing Going.
