Lou Sanders announces new tour
Lou Sanders has announced a new tour – just before she makes her first appearance on Dancing On Ice.
The comic debuts on the ITV reality show – hosted by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern – on Sunday with dance partner Brendyn Hatfield.
Her new stand-up show, entitled No Kissing In The Bingo Hall, does not start until early 2025, but tickets are going on sale on Friday to make the most of her primetime TV appearance.
The description for its content is relatively vague, so far ahead of time, reading: ‘A show about being human - can you relate??? Just like Tom Cruise does all his own stunts, I'm going to do all my own jokes! A deep, dumb show for the masses.’
Sanders has described taking part in the show as ‘electric, petrifying, terrifying’ adding: ‘I thought I wasn’t scared but the closer it gets I feel it more in my stomach.
A total of 3.6 million people tuned to last Sunday evening’s debut, not counting streaming views.
She was previously crowned champion of Taskmaster, co-hosts Mel Giedroyc's Unforgivable and has been seen on QI, The Late Late Show with James Corden and Would I Lie To You?
Last year she released her memoirs, What’s That Lady Doing?, reviewed here.
Tickets for Kissing In The Bingo Hall go on sale on general sale on Friday.
