Punter arrested after disrupting Simon Brodkin stand-up show

A comedy fan has been fined for being drunk and disorderly after heckling Simon Brodkin’s stand-up show.

James Glover was arrested after disrupting Brodkin’s Screwed Up tour at the Gaiety Theatre on the Isle of Man last month.

Douglas Courthouse was told how he heckled Brodkin, pictured, throughout the first half of the show and when staff tried to move him towards the exit, he became argumentative and sweary.

He was escorted out of the building but continued to struggle with staff members, punched a door and threatened one employee: ‘I’ll take your head off.’

Police arrested Glover outside but he continued to swear at them, Manx Radio reported.

Glover admitted the charge, and his advocate told the court his client ‘deeply regrets his actions’.

He was fined £260, with Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood telling him :’You behaved in an appalling manner.’
