Kiell Smith-Bynoe takes over The Great British Sewing Bee
Ghosts star Kiell Smith-Bynoe is to take over from Sara Pascoe as host of The Great British Sewing Bee.
The comedian will host both a Christmas special and the tenth series of the show when it returns next year.
The official Sewing Bee social media account also appeared to confirm that Pascoe has just given birth to her second child with fellow comic Steen Raskopoulos.
It was due around now, a sibling for the couple’s son, who was born in February 2022.
Sewing Bee tweeted: ‘We're bursting at the seams that Kiell Smith-Bynoe has stepped in to host this year’s Christmas Special and Series 10. (Sending lots of love to Sara and her new baby!) #SewingBee".
It was accompanied by a picture of Smith-Bynoe with judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young,

The tweet did not make it clear whether former Taskmaster contestant Smith-Bynoe was providing maternity cover, or whether he was becoming the permanent host.
Pascoe has hosted the show since 2022, taking over from Joe Lycett who in turn took over from Claudia Winkleman.
