Doppelginger revolves around his 'generic' looks

Ray Bradshaw has announced a 36-date tour for next year, based on how he looks like a generic ginger bald man.

The show, Doppelginger, kicks off at the Palace Theatre in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, on February 25 and will finish in Salford on April 28. Ray Bradshaw tour dates.

Bradshaw says he is forever being told ‘you look just like my mate…’, with the show’s blurb adding: ‘Either someone is cloning generic bald men or, there’s a ginger bearded bald man out there who’s doing a bad job of stalking Ray.

‘In his brand-new show Doppelginger, Ray is going to use the latest in genetic research (the internet) to try and put an end to this once and for all. He’s on a quest to find the person who looks most like him.’

He said: ‘I’m really excited to be going back on tour and finding lots of doppelgingers; maybe even doing a gig to a room full of them in what must be the best-looking audience ever.’

Bradshaw’s last show, Deaf Com One, was about growing up with deaf parents, and was the first stand-up show featuring a comic performing in both sign language and English. Every performance of Doppelginger will also have a BSL interpreter.

The comic has previously been the support act for John Bishop and Frankie Boyle, and he co-hosts BBC Radio Scotland’s football programme, Off The Ball.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday from  www.raybradshaw.com.

• Following a successful Edinburgh Fringe run – including a five-star Chortle review – Paul Foot is adding an extra 39 dates to his UK for Dissolve in the spring. Paul Foot tour dates.
