Rosie Jones to host Comedy Central gameshow

Out Of Order also seeks production trainees from underrepresented backgrounds

Rosie Jones is to host a new game show for Comedy Central UK.

In Out Of Order, two teams of comedians will compete in front of a studio audience to place members of the public in the correct order in categories such as, ‘Who earns the most?’ and ‘Who’s had the most one-night stands?’

Each of the 12 episodes – to be filmed by Rumpus Media this autumn – will last an hour.

Jones said: ‘Every legend knows that Comedy Central is the home of all things funny, so I’m over the bloody moon to be working with the team again. This show packs a huge dose of hilariousness and chaos and I can’t wait for people to see it’

And Comedy Central executive Luke Hales, who commissioned the show, added: ‘Having worked with Rosie on her hit Comedy Central short-form series, Rosie Tries To Help, we’re delighted to be strengthening our partnership with her on Out Of Order.

‘With Rosie at the helm, this funny, unpredictable and warm-hearted new format is sure to entertain our global audiences.’

The show will air on Comedy Central channels internationally next year.

Programme-makers are also running a training scheme for people wanting to get into TV production during the making of the show. Those from underrepresented backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply.

Jones, who has ataxic cerebral palsy, said she was ‘thrilled’ to be creating an ‘exciting, disability-positive production environment… this is a cause close to my heart and I absolutely encourage anybody eligible to apply.’

Hales added of the scheme: ‘It’s important that we intentionally create opportunities like this to ultimately foster an open, inclusive production ecosystem.’

To find out more and apply for the training initiative, email: apply@rumpusmedia.co.uk. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday
