Channel 4 orders two new digital comedy series

With Yung Filly, Harry Pinero and Chloe Burrows

Channel 4 has ordered new digital comedy series from former Love Island contestant Chloe Burrows and YouTube comedians Yung Filly and Harry Pinero.

Burrows, who also took part in the broadcaster’s recent reality show Scared Of The Dark alongside  Paul Gascoigne, Chris Eubank and Chris McCausland, will front a prank show entitled Bad Baby.

In the six-part series unassuming young couples are thrown into the world of parenthood and required to perform tasks to soothe their foul-mouthed ‘bad baby’. A different guest prankster voices the infant every episodes.

The show is being made by production company Tuesday’s Child. Executive producer Steph Harris said: ‘Chloe is the perfect mistress of mischief to mess with our couples with the help of some of the best pranksters around - unleashing a far from innocent baby (and parents) on the unsuspecting public with hilarious and cringe results.’

Meanwhile, in The Filly and Harry Show, the YouTube stars will discuss ‘the hot topics of the day’ – with their conversation inspiring ‘an eclectic range of sketches’, each featuring different characters.

Yung Filly has been a YouTuber for a decade and has 1.5million subscribers.  Last year he and Munya Chawawa hosted the companion show to  BBC One’s Freeze the Fear With Wim Hof and he has also appeared on The Great Celebrity Bake Off and Would I Lie To You?

He often works with Pinero, who has 600,000 YouTube subscribers and a million followers on Instagram and already fronts the Channel 4.0 series Worst in Class.

The  six-part Filly and Harry Show is written and directed by Shakii Mongulu, Sam Ewen and Joivan Wade and made by Wall of Productions

Wade, who is also an executive producer on the show, said it would showcase ‘Harry and Filly doing what they do best - bringing the laughs, plenty of improv and their infectious personalities’.

Sacha Khari, head of digital commissioning at Channel 4 said: ’We are thrilled to be pushing more authentic and experimental content with some of the industry’s finest talent and creators. We hope that each new series will continue to captivate our young audience and remind viewers why Channel 4.0 is the ultimate destination for premium digital content."

Since launching in October 2022, Channel 4.0 has generated more than 50million views and over 200 thousand subscribers.
