Police say incidents were 'non-recent'

Hardeep Singh Kohli has been arrested and charged in connection with sexual offences, it has been reported.

The charges against the 54-year-old comedian and presenter were described as ‘non-recent’ by Police Scotland. They have given no further details about where or when they are said to have taken place.

Kohli, who has worked on The One Show and appeared on Celebrity MasterChef and Celebrity Big Brother, has been released on bail, and is expected to appear at court at a later date.

Police Scotland said a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal, which decides on which cases should be brought to court.

Several women had previously raised concerns about Kohli’s behaviour to The Times newspaper, to which the comedian did not respond.
