Ed Gamble announces his biggest tour yet
Ed Gamble has announced his biggest tour yet, entitled Hot Diggity Dog.
The show – whose title is inspired by the Off Menu co-host’s love of food – will comprise 53 dates, kicking off on March 12 at Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre. It concludes with five nights at London’s Hackney Empire ending on June 20.
He said: ‘I’m absolutely delighted to once again slog around the UK to perform another one of my best shows ever. Standard sort of day will be: arrive, get peri chicken delivered backstage, do the show. I can’t wait.’
The tour will follow the publication of his first book, Glutton: The Multi-Course Life of a Very Greedy Boy, on October 26.
Gamble won series nine of Taskmaster and currently hosts the spin-off podcast. He has been a contestant on The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer and appeared in over 30 episodes of Mock The Week
Tickets for Hot Diggity Dog go on general sale at 10am on Friday. The official blurb reads: ‘Ed Gamble has minced a load of meat (thoughts), piped it into a casing (show) and it’s coming to a bun (venue) near you. There will be all your classic Gamble ranting, raving and spluttering but he’s doing fine mentally. Promise.’
