Richard Ayoade’s Question Team axed
Richard Ayoade’s panel show Question Team has been dropped after two series.
Each episode involved three comedians setting their own rounds, such as Jo Brand asking about chocolate, Jonathan Ross asking about superheroes and Thanyia Moore asking questions while skydiving, just because she fancied doing it.
The first series launched on Dave in 2021 with 563,000 viewers for the first episode and a series average of 397,000.
A spokesperson for the channel’s parent company UKTV told trade website Broadcast: ‘We can confirm that Question Team will not be returning for a third series. We would like to thank Richard and the production team and continue to develop exciting future projects with [producers] Interstellar for Dave.’
Dave has recently also confirmed that a raft of programmes including the Sara Pascoe-fronted Comedians Giving Lectures, James Acaster and Josh Widdecombe’s Hypothetical and travelogue British As Folk have all been axed.
Earlier this week it announced the comedians taking part in the next series of David Mitchell's Outsiders will be Alan Davies, Roisin Conaty, Guz Khan, Judi Love, Chris McCausland and Laura Smyth.
