Comics join Celebrity MasterChef
Marcus Brigstocke, Shazia Mirza and Inbetweeners star James Buckley are taking part in this year’s Celebrity MasterChef, the BBC has announced.
Five stars take part in each of four heat weeks of the competition, overseen by regular hosts John Torode and Gregg Wallace, with the best cooks advancing to later stages.
Also taking part are Emmerdale actor Amy Walsh, rapper Apl.de.Ap, drag artist Cheryl Hole, TV presenter Dave Benson Phillips, dancer Dianne Buswell, musicians Jamelia, Locksmith and Max George, actor Michael Praed, Radio 1 Xtra presenter Remi Burgz; Radio 2 travel presenters Richie Anderson, singer and former glamour model, Sam Fox; broadcaste, Terry Christian, opera singer and broadcaster, Wynne Evans, and reality stars Dani Dyer, Luca Bish and Mica Ven from Gogglebox.
The news comes the day after Brigstocke was announced as one of the guest chefs at this year’s Latitude festival.

The winner will follow in the footsteps of previous winners including Lisa Snowdon, Ade Edmondson and Emma Kennedy.
