800 Pound Gorilla also releasing Helen Bauer’s show

Sean McLoughlin’s stand-up hour So Be It is set to be released as a special.

The show, which premiered at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe has been filmed by US label 800 Pound Gorilla Media.

It will be released on their website on June 23, followed by a wider release on YouTube and other platforms from July 27.

The blurb for the show reads: ‘The world may be a strange and scary place, but life is still worth living. Sure, the West is  collapsing, the corporations now control our every waking moment and the government  may kick Sean’s wife out of the country any day. But life is still worth living, right?’

McLoughlin recently opened for Ricky Gervais on his international arena tour, having previously warmed up for Bill Burr at the Royal Albert Hall and has two sitcoms in development.

Meanwhile, 800 Pound Gorilla has announced that Helen Bauer’s debut special Little Miss Angel Babyface will be released on its platform on June 13, priced £10.

As Chortle reported at the time, the show was recorded at the Bedford in Balham, South London – home of Banana Cabaret – last summer.

The label also has a number of free stand-up specials on its website, including work from the likes of Alfie Brown, Stuart Goldsmith and Stuart Laws.
