One more time! Viggo Venn is back on Britain's Got Talent

Norwegian comedian in tonight's live semi-final

Viggo Venn is to appear in tonight’s live semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent – despite previously leaving Simon Cowell unimpressed with his high-vis striptease act.

The judge looked sour-faced as the Norwegian physical comic performed his ridiculous, high-energy routine to Daft Punk’s One More Time in the auditions.

As the crowd hollered ‘we want more’, Cowell looked increasingly pained ‘Don’t do this to me,’ he grumbled before pressing his buzzer.

But at  the end of the routine, Amanda Holden  said it was ‘amazing’.

Alesha Dixon said: ‘I thought it was going to be stand-up comedy?’ prompting Venn to reply: ‘Yes but it is a bit difficult with the language for me.’

In the semi-finals, viewers choose one contestant to go through the final while the judges – also including  Bruno Tonioli – choose a second.

Also taking part tonight are dance groups Yo Highness  and Nathan & Joanne, child singers Olivia Lyne and Tia Connolly, singer and magician Lewis Fuller and sword swallower Andrew Stanton.

Abi Carter-Simpson – the teacher and ukulele-playing comedy singer-songwriter – appeared on last night’s semi final but did not advance to the final, losing a public vote-off with singer Amy Lou. Dancer Musa Motha also progressed.
