First look at Channel 4’s comedy Big Mood
Here is the first-look image from Channel 4’s new comedy series Big Mood, starring Derry Girl Nicola Coughlan and Lydia West from Years and Years.
Filming has just begun on the six-part series, which is said to ‘explore the nuances of female friendship when threatened by the complexities of serious mental illness’.
The cast has also been announced for the series, including comedy actress Sally Phillips and and comedians Amy Gledhill and Freya Parker.
Phillips is part of the core ensemble alongside Niamh Cusack, Eamon Farren, Luke Fetherston, Kate Fleetwood, Rob Gilbert, Rebecca Lowman, Ukweli Roach and Amalia Vitale.
The show will also feature a special guest appearance from Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page playing herself.
Its description says: ‘A series of chaotic events put Maggie and Eddie’s decade-long friendship to the test. With the pair at a pivotal point in their lives, and Maggie’s bipolar disorder making an unwelcome return, Eddie begins to question whether this friendship is really in their best interests.’
Big Mood – which is still a working title – is written by Camilla Whitehill nad produced by Fremantle’s Dancing Ledge Productions.
