Monday November 28
WE ARE NOT ALONE:This feature-length comedy from Ghosts stars and co-creators Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond has a promising premise. Set six weeks after the Gu'un aliens have invaded and completely conquered Earth, they now have to figure out how to govern this strange planet. So they recruit hapless Clitheroe resident Stewart to help them. In charge of the UK sector is the rather dull (Vicki Pepperdine), dictatorial Gordan (Mike Wozniak) and simple-minded Greggs (Joe Thomas). The cast also includes Georgia May Foote, Amanda Abbington, Evelyn Mok, Bruce Mackinnon, Dane Baptiste, Rob Delaney, Ellie White and Miles Jupp. Read an interview with Rickard and Willbond here. RICHARD OSMAN'S HOUSE OF GAMES: Another week of returning former winners is heavy on the comedians with Stephen Bailey, Ria Lina and John Thomson all taking part. The line-up is completed by EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks. < strong>BBC Two, 6pm.
MASTERMIND: Mastermind: Having had Ghosts as a specialist subject last month, in tonight’s episode Clive Myrie will grill one contender on the BBC sitcom Mum, written by Stefan Golaszewski and starring Lesley Manville. BBC Two, 7.30pm
NATURE TABLE: Sue Perkins returns for a new series of this comedy show & tell celebrating the natural world and all its eccentricities. Recorded at The Eden Project, this episode features as its guests zoologist Billy Heaney, ecologist Holly Smith-Baedorf and comedian Anna Keirle. BBC Radio 4, 3pm

ROMESH RANGANATHAN THE CYNIC: A stand-up special filmed in Ranganathan’s hometown of Crawley comes to Netflix, alongside a half-hour semi scripted comedy about creating the show, described as the ‘Fyre Festival of comedy finales’

AVENUE 5: Armando Iannucci’s space-tourism comedy returns for a new series, starting with a double bill. While manning a luxury spacecraft owned by billionaire Herman Judd (Josh Gad), Captain Ryan Clark (Hugh Laurie) finds himself in over his head when the ship is thrown disastrously off-course - turning what was meant to be an eight-week cruise into an eight-year journey. LIVE AT THE MOTH CLUB: Set in the East London venue that’s proud to showcase off-the-wall acts, this new hybrid show mixes live performances with sketches from an ensemble that includes Jamie and Natasia Demetriou, Ellie White, Cardinal Burns and Arnab Chanda. THE SHUTTLEWORTHS: With two new specials of this show about Sheffield's favourite singer-songwriter airing tonight and at the same time next week, Graham Fellows claims the longest-running sitcom on radio made exclusively by the same creator – at least in terms of its span of episodes. This show started in 1993, with subsequent series in 1995, 1997, 2003 and 2010 plus a handful of Christmas specials, the last being in 2019. Radio 4, 11pm
