LONDON: There are a handful of tickets left for Absolute Radio Live at the London Palladium tonight. Hosted by Frank Skinner, who's a presenter on the station, the charity bash features Romesh Ranganathan, Ed Byrne, Zoe Lyons Chris McCausland, Kerry Godliman and Matt Forde. Monday November 28
LONDON: You can do a strong double bill at the Soho Theatre every night until Saturday, with two very different acts. At 7.15pm, Mat Ewins – a prop comic for the digital age – presents his daft multimedia show Danger Money. (Review). And at 9.15pm, dry American stand-up Todd Barry presents his ironically named 2022 Stadium Tour. He's appeared in loads of US comedy TV shows and has released three one-hour stand-up specials including his latest for Netflix, Spicy Honey.
Tuesday November 29
LONDON: Is it a Christmas show? Let the debate begin about Yippee Ki Yay, Richard Marsh's rhyming one-men retelling of Die Hard, which is at the King's Head Theatre from tonight until the end of the year, following a successful Edinburgh Fringe run this summer.
Wednesday November 30
BRISTOL: Another day, another Die Hard parody. This one with puppets. MDH: Puppets Do A Movie is described as an 'anarchic, absurd, adult-only dark comedy mash-up' and returns to the Wardrobe Theatre after a seven-year absence - where it runs until January 22.
Thursday December 1
LONDON: Soho Theatre hosts late-night shenanigans with cult Edinburgh Fringe hit Mr Chonkers for the next three nights. John Norris's charming and inventive clown show was one of the favourites among fellow comics at this year's Fringe. Read our verdict here. Friday December 2
MANCHESTER: There's a little show you might not have heard of starting this weekend. Peter Kay begins his first tour in 12 years with gigs close to home at the Manchester AO Arena. Despite only a few dates being initially announced, supercharging a ticket-buying frenzy, the show now plays dates stretching into early 2025, including a monthly residency at London's O2 and arenas around the UK. LONDON: Cabaret powerhouses Flat & the Curves begin a run of Christmas gigs featuring their hugely entertaining musical comedy. The quartet are at the Museum of Comedy tonight, he Rosemary Branch Theatre in Islington tomorrow and the Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club in Elephant & Castle on December 10.
