Babatunde Aleshe voted out of I'm A Celebrity
Babatunde Aleshe last night became a fifth contestant to be voted out of the I'm A Celebrity jungle.
The comedian, who spent 19 days in the camp, was met by sister Funke on the bridge.
He said of his time on the ITV show: ‘I've been dreading each and every trial, even some of the trials I was successful at – I was dreading everything. ‘
‘When I used to watch the show I used to always think to myself, "Ah, man these guys are just playing it's all good in there". Then spending two-and-a-half weeks in there it is hardcore it is intense.’
Addressing his campmates as he left, the 36-year-old said: ‘You guys have made me feel brave. I've conquered two of my biggest fears, which is frogs – I know it's hilarious but I frickin hate those little demons – and heights.
‘And every single last one of you, I'm going to cherish for the rest of my life. This has been the best experience I've ever had. Thank you to everybody.’
Aleshe was in the bottom two last night with fellow comic Seann Walsh, who survives. According to the bookies, Walsh is second favourite to be next evicted, at 2/1, behind Chris Moles at 8/13.
As Aleshe left the camp, Matt Hancock was overheard asking him to pass a message on to his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo. The former Health Secretary told the comedian: ’Oh you are so wonderful,’ as he hugged him farewell, before adding: "Will you say that to Gina?’
Aleshe follows Culture Club singer Boy George, who was the fourth celebrity to be voted off by the public on the previous evening.
The comedian will be hoping to capitalise on his newfound fame from the show as he goes on tour next year with his stand-up show Babahood.
