TREVOR NOAH: I WISH YOU WOULD: The Daily Show host's latest stand-up special lands on Netflix with him talking about learning German, speaking ill of the dead, judging people in horror movies and ordering Indian food in Scotland.

HENNIKAY: Bill Bailey returns as Guy Starling, a middle-aged man who, after 45 years, and for reasons quite unknown to him, is suddenly revisited by his imaginary childhood friend, Hennikay, in a new series of this radio comedy. BBC Radio 4, 6.30pm

YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS: Comedian and Strictly star Ellie Taylor hosts this new four-part show in which members of the public who fancy themselves as amateur sleuths will hear unbelievable stories from a succession of ‘suspects’ - but only one of them is telling the truth. To avoid any accusations of it being a Would I Lie To You? clone, the contestants will get help from seasoned police detectives who put each suspect through a police interrogation in a holding cell. Channel 4, 10pm

GOSSIP AND GODDESSES WITH GRANNY KUMAR: Meera Syal’s comedy creation returns, with her great-granddaughter Maya (Ambreen Razia) and 'frenemy' Geeta (Harvey Virdi), to chat with her guests. In the first episode of the new series they are Casualty and Ackley Bridge star Sunetra Sarker, and BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty. BBC Radio 4, 6.30pm

STAGED: Last week streaming service Britbox made the surprise announcement that David Tennant and Michael Sheen had made a third series of their comedy which had started in lockdown. It lands today, with life back to normal for the two actors, though director Simon ​Evans is keen to get them to work together again.

ABSOLUTE POWER: Also landing on Britbox today is this BBC satire set in the cynical world of public relations, starring Stephen Fry and John Bird. And the 1989 pilot episode of KYTV, a sketch show based on radio series Radio Active, and set in a fictional TV station, is also added to the catalogue.
