Munya Chawawa has announced his first UK tour, taking place in October next year.

The news comes as the Zimbabwe-born comedian’s time on Taskmaster comes to an end in two week’s time. His other TV credits include How To Survive A Dictator, the documentary about  Robert Mugabe and the entertainment show Complaints Welcome, both of which aired on Channel 4.

Chawawa rose to fame online, and he boasts 1.1million Instagram followers, 1.4million on TikTok and 270,000 on YouTube. Only yesterday, he released a music track mocking Matt Hancock’s time in the I’m A Celebrity… jungle.

Chawawa’s first tour – which kicks off in Leicester on October  5 –  will feature some of his most popular online characters, including newsreader Barty Crease, TV chef Jonny Oliver and posh drill rapper Unknown P. Guests will also join him on stage, although no details have yet been disclosed.

Nine dates have been announced and tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday November 25.
