Monthly London dates as part of his new stand-up tour

Peter Kay has added a residency at London’s  O2 arena to his nationwide tour.

The comedian raised eyebrows when he  did not include ay dates in the capital when he announced his return stand-up after 12 years this weekend.

But speaking to Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2  today, he revealed he will be the first artist in the world to perform a monthly residency at the venue.

His first gig will be on Friday December 16, with 11 more throughout: London The O2. 
 
He said: ‘Audiences in London have always been amongst the best in Britain, plus I think seeing the show could be part of a nice weekend away treat"
 
‘It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now.’

He was keen to point out that  ticket prices start  £35, the same price they were on his previous tour in 2010, although the most expensive VIP tickets top £150

 
Tickets for all the Peter ​Kay tour dates go on sale at 10am on Saturday.
